Hello filmmakers of the world!
Today we are going to talk about actors, film crews, and locations. For locations, let’s start with that. Think of very simple places such as the woods, the park, your own house. With places like those as filming locations you don’t have to pay and can pretty much do anything you want almost. If you want to use a well populated place always get permission to film where you want to film. But if people say no, do what you gotta do and find a way to film.
To find actors and a film crew, ask anybody you know that you trust. Get your friends, parents, cousins, crackheads, you name it to help you out. Ok well maybe not a crackhead but you get the point. People you know you don’t have to pay cause they should want to help you. But if you do have to find random actors and people for the crew just offer them free grub and that good stuff in place of money.
Now that we have hit the final steps let’s go over the check list.
- There should be a script, maybe some pre production planning like a storyboard.
- You got the filming equipment
- You got the locations, crew, and actors
- Have a great time
Now that you have done everything, relax. This is the most stressful but fun process ever and if you don’t give yourself that time to rest during all of this you could drive yourself mad. But once that’s done get to filming! As an independent filmmaker you don’t need a lot to get a good production done. Use what little you have and make the best out of it because if you’re into it and really want to achieve your filmmaking goals then anything will look great!
Make amazing stories and show the world. The world needs new filmmakers. The world needs you.
