I have created about 4 mixtapes now, and it is safe to say that this is my favorite one yet, as I was able to express myself in different ways I have not explored yet. My name is Owen Whitman, also known as my artist alias, CRASY, which is pronounced "crazy", if you do not already know that by this point.
My mixtape / album's so far in order are "PROJECT#", "heaven sent," and "WHEN PIGS FLY". My newest one, is called "trashbag". No, I did not name it this because it is trash, I thought it was very fitting towards the type of production style heard throughout its songs. I was going for a glitchy, very unorthodox type of production style for most songs that you don't hear much. Some people may view this style as "sloppy" or "messy", therefore I thought the title "trashbag" was fitting in this aspect. I also believe that the music I make does not fit into any distinct genres, as I tend to make music with many different genres and vibes. I tend to get a little more lyrical and heartfelt on some of these songs, which to me shows my growth not only as an artist but as a person.
Overall, I am very happy with the way this album is shaping up. As of right now, I do not have a set date I want to release it, as I want to take my time and make sure each song is how I want it. I spend a lot of time when I release mixtapes like this, so I always want it to be worth the time I spend making it, but no matter how well it does or is perceived by others, the main thing that matters to me is my own happiness and enjoyment from it.
