The Creative Mind behind "Backrooms"

How to 'No-Clip' Reality and Arrive in the Backrooms | WIRED    The Backrooms started as conversations behind pictures on the internet and later turned into YouTube films about creepy-looking office spaces in places that they didn’t belong. This form of content hit its peak following 2020, when everyone was stuck inside on the internet. Now we get to the creator himself. He started by making comics and short-form content on YouTube, and then he got the attention of A24 studios, where he got his shot to make his own recreation of the “Backrooms”. With the help of A24, he got a budget close to $10 million and grossed close to $232 million worldwide. What seemed to start off as a Fever dream turned into a once-in-a-lifetime experience thanks to A24's outreach and the creative genius of Kane Parsons.

The movie itself was a creative and somewhat faithful rendition of what we as an audience know as the backrooms. The reason I say somewhat is that there are many different backrooms in canon, so he could’ve taken this film in any direction he wanted, but thankfully, he is levelheaded and went with a simple concept for the film that was easy for both new and seasoned watchers of the Backrooms.

I would recommend this movie to both people who have seen and researched the backrooms and those who have no idea what they are, because the director took a simple approach to a complex topic that is easy for anyone to understand.
