Top 10 Best Enemies in the Silent Hill 2 Remake

The monsters in Silent Hill 2 Remake stand out for how incredibly physically striking they are, and they are also a real challenge to face as James Sunderland. So these are my top 10 best enemies in Silent Hill 2 Remake.

10. Creeper

Small insect-like enemies that create tension through movement and sound. Simple design, but effective in tight spaces. Also, if you hate bugs, I recommend duct taping the metal pipe button down on your keyboard.

9. Mandarin

Hidden beneath grates, only their arms reaching up. What makes them so eerie is that they just show up. No buildup or anything, and the real size is almost anonymous because of the fog they dwell in.

8. Flesh Lip

Essentially, it's a giant water heater with metal spider legs and a mouth. It's terrifying for all the ways you hate spiders. And mouths. Definitely the best boss fight in the game.

7. Spider Mannequin

A remake variation that crawls on walls and ceilings. Makes the prison section of the game even worse than it was before.

6. Abstract Daddy

Where to even begin with this boss? Actually, I'm not sure. If you're determined to learn about the story behind its design, I'd recommend simply googling it. Don't say I didn't warn ya. It's eh…something else.

5. Bubble Head Nurse

What makes the design of these enemies so amazing is that it resembles the nurses essentially from Halloween parties at frats, except they want to hit you with a metal pipe. I'd say that could be relatable to someone, but I certainly hope not.

4. Lying Figure

This is the first enemy you encounter in this game. And wow, does it not hold its design back. A person trapped in tight leather skin with heels, while it slithers like a snake? Yeah… I'm good.

3. Mannequin

The most common enemy in the game. Not as scary as the others, but relatively entertaining to hit with a big stick. That will never get boring or tiresome.

2. Pyramid Head

Do I even say more on this hulking behemoth? Its design stems from the guilt and self-hatred James has for himself, and having it be relentless in some sections, as it follows you made its encounters so much better.

1. James

I won't be spoiling the game here, so I'll just leave this one at that. It's your own protagonist. So what are you doing? Pick up the controller and actually play the game!
