Hi, I’m Yuliia Kachurak, a student in web/graphic design with a background that might surprise you. I’m originally from Ukraine, and I’ve been living in the United States for the past four years.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved art. From 5th to 9th grade, I went to an art school where I spent hours drawing, painting, and learning about colors. I dreamed of becoming an interior designer — someone who could turn ideas into spaces that people love to live in. Life later took me in another direction, but my love for creativity never went away.
My path didn’t start in the creative field — I actually hold a Master’s degree in Law in Ukraine. For a long time, I followed a logical, structured path, but deep down, I always felt drawn to art, color, and visual storytelling.
Moving to the U.S. became a turning point. It gave me space to rediscover myself and finally follow my creative instincts. I fell in love with web and graphic design — the perfect mix of logic and creativity. It’s a fields where structure meets freedom, where every shape and color has meaning.
What I love most is that design exists everywhere - in nature, architecture, packaging, the way light hits a surface, or how colors blend in a sunset. Everything around us is designed with purpose, whether by people or by nature itself. I’m inspired by small details — a handwritten sign on a cafe wall, the symmetry of buildings, the flow of typography, or even the mood of a rainy morning. These moments remind me that design is not just about making things look good — it’s about how things make us feel.
For me, design is a way to communicate without words, to connect logic and emotion, order and creativity. It’s a constant search for balance, beauty, and meaning.
Through this blog, I want to share my story, my inspirations, and my view of design — as a lifestyle, a mindset, and a way to see the world differently.
So, welcome — and thank you for being part of my story.
